PALMETTO CHAPTER CMSA
The Palmetto Chapter is a local chapter of The Case Management Society of America (CMSA). Founded in 2008, Palmetto Chapter CMSA is dedicated to the support and growth of the case management profession by offering organized educational and networking opportunities to case management professionals in the Columbia, SC and surrounding areas. Chapter members are introduced to the opportunities available through CMSA. The Palmetto Chapter actively supports the CMSA mission to "advocate for patients’ wellbeing and improved health outcomes by fostering case management growth and development, impacting health care policy, and providing evidence-based tools and resources."

The Mission of The Case Management Society of America is the leading membership association providing professional collaboration across the healthcare continuum to advocate for patients’ wellbeing and improved health outcomes by fostering case management growth and development, impacting health care policy, and providing evidence-based tools and resources.

Care managers are advocates who help patients understand their current health status, what they can do about it and why those treatments are important. In this way, care managers are catalysts by guiding patients and providing cohesion to other professionals in the health care delivery team, enabling their clients to achieve goals more effectively and efficiently.

Connecting with Case Managers
CMSA represents over 30,000 members and participants in a number of different practice settings and care delivery models. Case Managers play a critical part in providing information, recommendations, and options to patients and the entire care delivery team.

CMSA Corporate Partners seek to advance the entire profession of case management and are a critical component of CMSA's mission to provide resources to case managers and increase their visibility in the health care community.
